That wound remained for many years until her beloved father took his life in 2005. In the midst of trying to heal from this devastating blow (which stole her health as well), she realized the need to deal with those early unhealed wounds.

So began a healing journey on many levels.

She had unknowingly looked to performance, perfectionism, driven-ness, Type A behavior, and workaholism to try to fill her.

It all looked good on the outside but inside she was crumbling. The pressure she placed on herself to get everything "just right" and what she thought were God's expectations to be the "perfect Christian" felt crushing. There had to be another way to live. Where was the rest? The abundant life?

After many tears, digging into God's Word, books, mentors, courses, and more, Nicole began to receive her TRUE REST.

No longer was there a need to prove herself to the world. No longer did she have to get everything "just right". No longer did she stress and strive and try to find her validation in the praise of others.

Instead she turned her heart toward the voice of her Heavenly Father. As she did the pain, hurt, and need to prove herself faded away. Where there once were deep wounds, scars are now all that remain.

She began to understand and receive both God's love and His grace. That changed EVERYTHING!

Nicole is now on a MISSION to help other women escape from this trap of joyless, pressure-filled, anxiety-ridden living in exchange for TRUE REST.
